Thank you Richard, I had the same problem, the clock rate and DCE/DTE was also good, the only thing that I had to touch was the encapsulation protocol which was misconfigured on one side of my Serial link.

As you can see on the switch, its on enable mode but I do not know why it still ain't work. what other reasons it could have? wrong image version? I tried the register-config it ain't work either.
as you can see the config mode is also enabled. And off course this is not the only switch that gives this error. All my 5 switches does the same thing. I just installed a brand new IOS last night due to a corrupt ISO on all the switches.
