What I witnessed was a very long microcode “programming” when going from the 15 to the 12.2 in About 25 minutes but I did not time it.I would assume if it had to do that it was downgrading microcode to meet the 12.2 specification.Another switch setup...
Old post but figure worth mentioning.. I had to add a switch to an old stack and downgrade from 15.2 to 12.2 before adding and it absolutely does microcode programming so plan for the extra time.
Can you provide details/cli commands on the dropping vertica part? I am having a similar issue and product is EOS. We need to refresh hardware it but that will take time. any help appreciated. Thanks
