I just completed this a couple of weeks ago. I had the same issue. What is the output from your 'release details', does that give you something to go on? My issue was something trivial and I don't recall what it was.
This happened in our environment not long ago. I was able to use a previous password to get in and then updated the password on all the nodes. Might give that a try.
