I've made the following changes to enable use of hook-flash:
- Voice > Regional > ‘Hook Flash Timer Min’ and ‘---Max’ set to 0.005 and 0.05 respectively. It seems these values are multiplied by 60 to convert to seconds and the default values (0.1 & 0.9) are wrong. The resulting values (0.3 & 3.0 sec) are also outside the ranges mentioned in the user manual, but seem to work.
- Line 1 > ‘Hook Flash Tx Method’ is set to 'AVT'. The default is 'none', which disables hook-flash processing by the ATA.
- Line 1 >’Reply 182 On Call Waiting’ is set to ‘yes’ (default: no).
With these changes I can finish an existing call and clear it with the hook-switch, at which point a queued (answered?) call rings through normally.
But operating the flash button instead of the hook-switch picks up the queued call and clears the first call rather than placing it on hold.
Can anyone advise what changes would allow swapping between calls using the flash button?
