We have run into a situation, where if the 2 receptionist phones are using both lines alotted to them, the caller gets put in an Auto-Attendant that prompts them to press1 to leave a message in the General MailBox or continue holding for the next available representative, this is fine. The problem we have come across it, if the receptionist lines are tied up for a while, the caller hears the Auto-Attendant repeat 3 times, then they are automatically dropped. Isn't this supposed to be an infinite loop? If so, what can we change so the inbound caller is not just dropped after 3 repetitions of the AA and it creates the infinite loop?
Thanks in advance.

Jeremy,
You can set the number of times the AutoAttendant will loop, the default is 3 times. This setting can be changed in the CUE web interface, under the AutoAttendent script.
Thank you,

A better approach might be to front-end the receptionists with a B-ACD queue. That way if both receptionists are busy, the user will be played comfort messages, and the receptionists will see a visual indication on their phones that there are xx calls in the queue which will encourage them to finish up with their current caller.
Cheers,
Dave.
