Hi,
We are having problems with a new Cisco 7937G ( firmware version 1.4-1-0). When we connect it to the Voice VLAN it registers with our UC560 (software pack 8.2, United Kingdom Locale) , but when we assign a user and extension to the phone through the CCA ( version 3.2) the phone goes into an endless reboot cycle.
The CCA 3.2 Release Notes mentions this bug can occur when using a Cisco 7937G. A "possible" workaroud is mentioned of upgrading the 7937G to the latest firmware. We followed this advice and the Cisco 7937G is now running firmware 1.4-4-0, but the problem is still occuring.
I have also tried configuring the extension for the phone via the CLI, but this did not help.
Any ideas of what to try next?
Stephen

Problem solved!
The 7937G only supports US Locale!! - why is this not in the release notes?
Problem Summary: 7937G phone enters continuous reset cycle if configure with non-US locale
Resolution:
• Upload the US locale pack if you are a non-US site
• Configure a second user-locale and set it to be US. So user-locale 0 is UK and 1 is US.
• Configure a new ephone-template
• Added user-locale 1 to the ephone-template
• Assigned the new ephone-template to ephone entry for the 7937G
• Restarted the 7937G phone
Phone is registered to UC560 has extension and user assigned.
Thanks to Cisco TAC for their help.

Agreed something as 'frustrating' as this should at the very least have a slip of paper added to the box by the Australian distributors... and/or a note somewhere related to the 7937G not related to CCA!
I had a new fresh system setup and the phone only worked after a reboot of the system - unplugging and replugging caused the loop.
Added the US Locale and all is now working - thanks to the Cisco support community!

Hi
I have the same problem. according to what I understand, I have to do an upgrade on the phone (locale pack). how can I make that?
Do you have some page where i can read the procedure or can you indicate me the steps?
Thanks in advance

Hi All.
Thanks for information.
I'm having the same issue with 7937 and UC540. Just don't understand why Cisco cannot issue a new firmware for 7937 supporting other Localies.
