Hello,
We just had daylight savings time here in the US, but our spa504g phones didn't adjust automatically.
I have them configured to sync to NTP, using our internal NTP server. Their time zone is set to GMT-05:00 (EST), with this Daylight Savings Time Rule:
start=3/8/7/2:0:0;end=11/1/7/2:0:0;save=1
It also has these settings, which might be related:
Ignore DHCP Time Offset: yes
Daylight Savings Time Enable: yes
This is one of the sample DST rules from the manual for this device, and should say "Move timezone forward 1 hour at 2am on the first Sunday after March 8th". The first Sunday after March 8th was this last Sunday.
Nevertheless, the device does not seem to be using the correct timezone. It is still showing the time as 1 hour earlier than the correct time (still GMT-05:00/EST instead of GMT-04:00/EDT).
I just upgraded the firmware to 7.4.8.
Any idea what might be wrong here?
Or even better, any tips on troubleshooting this? I'm not really sure how to test apart from guessing and resetting the device.
Thanks!
-----Scott.

Hi Scott
Your configuration and DST rule is fine, I did test it on a SPA509G with same release and it worked as it suppose to do it.
What I noticed is if the phone has not communication with NTP server rule is not applied, I read that you have your own NTP server maybe it has a firewall running on it or in a separate VLAN, you can also try with a public NTP server, this is the one that I test 132.248.81.29.

start=3/8/7/2:0:0;end=11/1/7/2:0:0;save=1
can you explain me every single digit after "start" and "end", please?
I need to understand in order to set the daylight saving time on a 504g phone installed in Italy

Did you missed it in Administrator's guide, or you missed Administrators guide entirely ? See Configuring Daylight Saving Time.
I assume the following is correct for Italy
