SPA112 ATA must be rebooted every 2 days

Is there any reason why the SPA112 function stops approximately every 2 days and must be rebooted to reestablish it's functionality ? Has the device worn out? Is there updated software to prevent this ? Does this thing only last 2 or 3 years ? Is it particularly succeptable to slight power fluctuations ? What seems to be the problem that occurs every other day ?
