Seen few discussions here but still stuck on Cisco logo
I've tried to press speaker buttons (several times) as soon as the cisco loge comes up but nothing.
Last thing I did to the phone was changing the DST configuration. After reboot, stuck on cisco logo
Any suggestions?

If the following steps fail, you'll want to call support to do an RMA.
1. Cold reboot the phone
2. When the animation appears
3. Press speaker key 3 times
4. User will be show a list of menu, from there
a. User could reset the configuration
b. Upgrade the firmware

thanks for ur suggestion I tried that many times but no luck. Cisco logo gets stuck as soon as it appears on the screen and nothing happens.
Regarding rma, is it posssible to send in for rma when my warranty expired on 6/2011?

If the warranty has expired, then there's no free RMA procedure. You may want to inquire about a refurbished unit if available.

I feel like I'm stuck with non functional phone. I use the phone little more than a year without any problems but because of daylight savings time misconfiguration, I go into the web gui to change the DST and the phone dies and I'm left to pick my self up alone.
What do you mean by "inquire about refurb unit? Do you mean call cisco support and ask them about;
1) Buying a refurb unit from cisco?
2) Have my non functioning phone replace with refurb phone at some cost?

Hi Ted,
I've never seen or heard of a SPA525G not being recoverable as a result of what you describe.
Some things to check:
1. Is a DHCP server available to the phone when it boots? If not, this can severely slow down the phone's boot process, making one think that the phone has issues.
2. Verify that the link LED is on when the phone is connected to the network switch. [could be a bad cable]
3. Try Nelson's recovery technique but with the following change:
a. unplug the phone [remove all power to it]
b. connect the phone [apply power to it]
c. start pressing the speaker button [press, let go, press, let go... and continue] just a normal press like you use to dial a number. The goal is to activate the phone's recovery menu, allowing you to recover by choosing an alternate software image.
Please let me know of your progress.
Best of luck,
Patrick

Thanks Patrick
Well...I think you've seen 1 case last year
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2049775
I found your instruction when I first faces the problem and followed your direction from last year's direction but no luck...
I did check following
1) Triple checked the cable, and switch port. All is fine
2) Checked my DHCP server's log and see no activity, request, etc from SPA 525G
3) Since my SPA525G was connected via wireless last time when it worked, I did check my wireless router but I don't see SPA 525G as one of my wireless client.
Still waiting for what nseto meant by "inquire about a refurbished unit"

Ted,
:-) in your case, you only accessed the web-UI so that's what I don't understand about your phone's behavior.
Can you please contact me at paborn@cisco and provide your contact information so that I can better understand the issue?
Regards,
Patrick
