UC520 Upgrade Problems from 12.24YB to 15.0.1XA

I upgraded our internal 520 from 12.24YB to 15.0.1XA yesterday and have had very mixed results.  It did succeed in upgrading the IOS to 15, but every time it tries to upgrade CUE it gives a tftp/ftp error, have tried from several different computers.  Since then, intercom buttons on one of our internal users are showing one name but actually going to a different user and it takes about 6 minutes to open the configure > voice tab in CCA 2.2(1) or to send changes made there to the phones.

I am re-downloading the software pack in case it was a bad version/corrupted download

Here is the error status:

I redownloaded the uc520 8.0 software pack and received the same error.

Hi Steven,

thanks. for now i did a shutdown on the module.

i'm curious what the product team is going to say.

You can issue the command "service-module integrated-service-engine 0/0 shutdown" but it is not needed.  I have always just turned the power off on the device when I needed to shut it down.

The project team said:

Hi Steve,

We can add ability to shutdown in Maintenance->Restart/Reset... Perhaps another column for Shutdown.

Andy.

So forward looking.  Not commited.  Not promised.  But good idea, so thank you.

Hi Steven,

that is good news.

As a distributor we have some demo models we give to our resellers for testing purposes. A shutdown button would be great!

Can you tell me what route command did you use as well as the what ip address?

By they way, I was having the same problem.  I had my laptop wireless turned off but I would get the same TFTP error.  I even started a TFTP Session but I got an error stating that there is conflict because the port is already in use.  Which I know CCA has a TFTP connection internally.  I disabled the Wireless card in Device Manager.  Tried it again, and worked perfectly.  I tested it again on another UC520, same problem.  Again I disabled the wireless card in DM.  Even through your wireless is turned off, its recommended to be disable.

Thanks!

Ashish

hi Ashish,

But is the Uc520 your default gateway for your computer?

Check the default gateway on your PC via "IPCONFIG", from your command line.

If the PC has the VLAN1 IP interface of the UC500 as it's default gateway, then my route command probably is not necessary.

But if your UC500 VLAN 1 IP interface is not your default gateway, you can try the following.  I will assume that  VALN1 ip interface = 192.168.10.222   (for example) your route command could be ;

From a command line on your PC type;

route add 10.1.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.168.10.222
