Does AnyConnect 3.0 support IPSec remote-access VPN?

Hi everyone,

I've read on Cisco AnyConnect 3.0 Q&A that it supports IPSec remote-access VPN:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps6032/ps6094/ps6120/qa_c67-622477_ns1049_Networking_Solutions_Q_and_A.html

I've downloaded and installed AnyConnect 3.0.0629 Secure Mobility Client, but I'm not able to get IPSec VPN working. There's also no option to use PCF files from the previous Cisco IPSec VPN client.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get IPSec VPN working on AnyConnect 3.0?

Thank you in advanced!

Hi,

Anyconnect does support IPSEC as from version 3.0 but only together with IKEv2.

There is no option to use a PCF file with it and the config should be pushed through an Anyconnect profile.

More info on this:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect30/administration/guide/ac02asaconfig.html#wp1325361

You'll also need to change the ASA config so that it accepts IKE v2 negotiations:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/configuration/guide/vpn_ike.html#wp1144572

Nicolas
