Hi,

According to the error message it seems that the NHS has rejected or failed to serve the NHRP client request packet.

It really does not say much but recommends opening a TAC case to further investigate...

Federico.

Hi,

Yes, this type of issue is probably best handled by a TAC case as it can get fairly complex when root causing the problem. The error message itself is somewhat misleading in the sense that it's really not a router resources issue. The most common scenario where you'd run into this is that, there is an inconsistency in the prefix length between the nhrp cache entry and what's in the routing table during an nhrp cache update. There have been some known IOS issues in this area, eg.,

In any event, we'd really need to get the nhrp show/debug output when this occurs to see what's going on. Depending on whether you are running dmvpn phase 2 or phase 3, you may need to get them from the source spoke, hub, as well as the destination spoke routers. Again, this is probably best addressed by a TAC case.

Thanks,

Wen
