Why did Cisco remove WebVPN support on the 850 series platform in 12.4(6)T?
I've deployed 850 series routers for small offices, and low and behold after the upgrade to 12.4(6)T. WebVPN is gone. It looks like they want you to buy an 870 so you can use a "2 seat demo license", just to get their client-less SSL VPN functionality.
The Web-based SSL VPN functionality was fine. Why remove it in a software "upgrade"?
On another note, every time it seems that I deploy a Cisco product for a feature, that feature is removed in a future upgrade. Just like CME on the 1760s. And don't say flash memory, I got almost 10 megs free on my 850s.
Whatever happened to those days of maintaining software on your platforms for 15 years like the 2500s.
