2801 ISR Security Bundle

Hi All,

I am planning a V3PN deployement and am a little confused about the same ,I am looking at the 2801 security bundle with AIM/VPN EP2 plus and also the same ISR BUNDLE without the hardware encryption card.Do i really need a hardware encryption card when the 2801 allready has hardware vpn processor,This router would be used for site to site tunnel and will not have any gre tunnel ,there would not be more than 3 -4 calls active through the tunnel at all times.I read the srnd for v3pn it recommends encryption in hardware but 2801 is allready capable of doing that without the card,so is there any need of putting an AIM for the same on the router.

For 1 tunnel and 3 or 4 active users through it , 2801 and the inbuilt VPN card will suffice. You will not need the AIM module. The part which will hit the router will be the GRE. So ensure that there is not much of traffic through the GRE.

P.S:- If you dont have much of traffic u can even look at 1841
