hey guys I was needing help with using vpn client to access my inside network on my ht2000w modem/router combo. I'm trying to do this without purchasing a static IP and the ht2000w cant be put into bridge mode. I have tried a few things but nothing works. The modem/router has lan of 192.168.42.X and the wan side has 100.72.250.x and my cisco router has default of 192.168.1.1 not sure I can remote in and view my inside devices. I have tried to make vlan2 of asa 5505 the wan gatewayht2000w  and use route outside statement of the lan of the ht2000w but nothing im doing seems to work? im new to networking and routers.

Correction im using vpn client to access my inside network of the asa 5505 not ht2000w. I learned that if I set the vlan2(outside interface) to dhcp and write some nat rules for inside ip to get translated to these dhcp outside ips that it could possible work and also do some port forwarding but since I don't have a static ip for my ht2000 modem I don't think that possible for me to do?

Hello,

it is unclear which devices you have, and how they are connected. Can you post a schematic drawing of your setup and indicate what you are trying to accomplish ?
