Accessing VPN 3000 via private interface ?

Can somebody verify that if it is possible for vpn client connecting on the same segment as the VPN private interface to come in through this interface to authenticate and then pick up the proper grouping and filters to access the private network ,again through this same interface ?

I know that you can authenticate ok via this interface. Does the VPN allow traffic after authentication to come and out on the same (private) interface ?

Yes it does, the traffic will be routed based on the routing table of the 3000. If that happens to point it back out the same interface it came in on, then that's fine.
