Hi, I?m using a 1721 adsl cisco router for my adsl 8mbps.Now, my Iinternet provider offers adsl2+ but new router/wic is necessary.
My 1721 uses a 1wic adsl to connect. Which is the new wic model for adsl2+ and 1721 that I need to buy?
Best regards

The 800 series also supports adsl2+:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps380/products_data_sheet0900aecd8028a9a9.html
(look for adsl2+ in that page), which is more cost effective than an 1800. But it might not be as much fun or as future proof.
The 1700 series is unlikely to support adsl2.

Hi,
You'll need a HWIC-1ADSL, see:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5853/products_data_sheet0900aecd80394b7e.html
however, I don't believe hwic's are supported in a 1721 so you'll need a 1841 at least.
HTH - plz rate if useful.
Andrew.

If you look at the data sheet for the 1721, you can see it only supports WIC and VWIC:

Data sheet for 1841:
