We are seeing an install problem with the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client under Windows 7. The installer stalls after a minute or so then reports:
There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.
There has been no other install issue on these machines and we have reinstalled Windows 7 to insure that the Installer is robust.
Please advise.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Run the installer as an administrator: Right-click on the installer file and select "Run as administrator." This ensures that the installer has the necessary permissions to make changes to the system.
Disable antivirus software: Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software on your computer, as they may interfere with the installation process. Once disabled, attempt to install the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client again.
Check for conflicting software: Verify that there are no other VPN clients or firewall software installed on your computer that could conflict with the AnyConnect installer. Uninstall any such programs before proceeding with the installation.
Clear temporary files: Delete temporary files on your computer that may be interfering with the installation. You can do this by running the Disk Cleanup utility or using third-party tools for temporary file removal.
Download the latest version: Ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client from a reliable source. Older versions may have compatibility issues or known bugs that have been addressed in newer releases.
Use the Cisco Support Community: Visit the Cisco Support Community forums or knowledge base to search for similar installation issues specific to the AnyConnect client. You may find helpful information or solutions from other users or Cisco support personnel.
Contact support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, reach out to the official Cisco support channels for assistance. Provide them with specific details about the error message and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. They can offer further guidance or escalate the issue if necessary.
