anyconnect ssl licensing for a cisco ASA active/passive pair

Hello all. I am purchasing 2 5512x ASAs to be configured as an Active/Passive pair as a VPN device. Do I need to purchase anyconnect licenses for both devices? Thanks,

AnyConnect Essentials (or Premium) licenses are combined on an ASA failover cluster. Reference

So, buy once the amount and type of licenses you need based on your end users - not based on the number of ASAs - and they will be available to the Active ASA whether it is the Primary or Secondary unit.

Why don't you buy two of the 5515-X? The 5512-X with HA-license for Failover costs the same as the 5515-X but gives you less power.
