Dear all,
I have been trying to set up a router to dial in to a MS2k RAS box (BRI to PRI). I am getting the following error on a ppp auth debug and I'm not sure where to go next. Any advice would be gratefully received.
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: Using dialer call direction
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: Treating connection as a callout
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: Session handle[CD000011] Session id[30]
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: Authorization required
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: No remote authentication for call-out
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: Authorization required
02:30:18: BR0/0:1 PPP: No remote authentication for call-out

Hello Luke,
judging from your debugging output, it looks like you have configured one-way authentication, that is, your client will not request that the server authenticate itself back to the client.
Check if your server might be configured for two-way authentication. On your client, if you have 'ppp authentication pap (chap) callin' configured, take out the 'callin' keyword and check if that makes a difference...

GP

Dear GP,
Thank you that's solved the problem!
