Can I run IPSec between a 3002 VPN Client and 2611 router?

FIRST - I am very new to IPSec/VPN!!!

My question is this: I am trying to figure out if I can run IPSec between and 3002 VPN Client and a 2611 router. When I do a <show crypto isakmp sa> on the router, I am getting a state of MM_NO_STATE. Thank you.
