I have a scenario with VPN tunel between a router and ASA and can ping the subnet behind ASA from the subnet behind the router (and vice versa) however I cannot ping the ASA inside interface over the VPN tunnel. I will need it for ASDM access from the remote location. How can it be done?
You need to have the "management-access inside" command configured on the ASA.
If you are running 8.3 or newer software on the ASA we would also need to take a look at the "nat" configurations IF the above command doesnt solve your problem
