Cannot Communicate on inside interface

adam.fenner

Level 1

I can't communicate with anything connected on the inside interface.

See the attached command prompt ipconfig. I get an IP address and default gateway from the inside address pool of the ASA (100.100.100.240) but i can't communicate or ping anything that is directly connected in the 100.100.100.xxx network.

See below config. that is on the ASA 5505 right now that was configured through ASDM and the Anyconnect VPN wizard.

Just trying to set up a simple VPN remote access.

You need the "management-access inside" command to communicate with the inside interface.

Could you try changing the pool to something not part of your inside subnet and change the NAT and access rules to reflect that?

I really don't need to access the inside interface, i just meant that i couldn't ping it. I need the address pool to be in the same subnet in order to talk to the various motor controls equipment on that network.
