Cannot ping ubiquiti devices IP after connecting using VPN client

Hi Guys,

I have configured a cisco router with VPN client configuration. From my home laptop, I can connect to this router successfully via using VPN client software. However, after connecting, I am having couple of issues. Below is the scenario:

The internal IP address of that network is 172.16.99.x/24. There are 4 ubiquiti wireless devices inside this network, all configured with IP address 172.16.99.x/24 range. Once I connect using VPN client:

  1. I can ping 172.16.99.254 (default IP for the router)
  2. I can ping 172.16.99.253 (printer)
  3. I can ping 172.16.99.10 (UPS)
  4. I can ping 172.16.99.50 to .60 (laptops and workstations).
  5. I cannot ping 172.16.99.134 to .137 (ubiquiti wireless devices)

Can someone please let me know what to do in order to ping the ubiquiti wireless devices and access them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Vignesh.

Hi,

Sounds weird that you cant ping the Wireless AP's. Just check on them if they know a return route to your VPN Assisgned ip address range.

Do a traceroute while connected to the vpn and check where the coms drop. Then also if you can from the UBQT to the VPN assigned address.
