Cant login to my 3560-x network switch

Hi

I just gout this network switch and it was used from someone else and I would like to access the setting.  I have factory reset it and I still cant login.

hmm you factory reset it , there shouldn't be any config on it , are you consoled in?

what does it show ?

a factory reset switch should just show switch>

When I console in it says "password required, password not set".

Are you sure your directly connected with console cable and accessing over that cable/port through serial as that's what the vty port says when there is no config set for it , console port should just show switch>
