Cisco Any connect crashes NIC drivers

I can use cisco anyconnect client to connect to a VPN one time.  Once connected everything runs fine.  If for any reason i get disconnected or i am done for the day is when everything goes wrong.  The process of disconnecting seems to take about 1 - 2 minutes to complete than once disconnect I can not reconnect.  At this point if i want to do anything with the cisco any connect adapter or my ethernet adapter i am unable they will both just hang, i am also at this point not able to restart the computer.  I have windows 10 and it will just spin saying restarting untell it BSOD and finally restarts.

Now for the really interesting part.  I have a separate M.2 2280 intel 7265 chip in the computer if i use that (by disabling my ethernet adapter) i have zero trouble i can disconnect and reconnect to the VPN with zero issues what so ever.

Here is what I've done, I've ensured I have the latest BIOS update, I've used both the windows 10 default drivers and the latest NIC drivers from both the motherboard manufacturer and intel (intel(r) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V).  I have also spent quite a few hours looking at different solutions to the problem i could find, unfortunately i cant seem to find anyone that has all the symptoms i have.  I have also tried using a different profile on the computer still with the same result.  It has been recommended i just OSRI but i'd rather not spend hours setting back up my computer when it most likely a driver conflict between cisco and intel.
