Cisco Anyconnect and Windows Phone

I have been using a Windows Phone for 6 months and would very much like to use VPN.  Our IT team indicates that without the Cisco Anyconnect app, I cannot accomplish this.  Is Cisco planning on developing an app for Windows Phone?
