Cisco AnyConnect keeps disabling WiFi adapter when unplugging wired

MikeLars

Hi Everyone,

We're having an issue with the AnyConnect client, every time the ethernet cable is disconnected, AnyConnect disables the WiFi adapter, and it requires manually turning it back on.

We've possibly ruled out:

  • WiFi card Driver updates
  • Reinstalling the client
  • Basic client troubleshooting

Another laptop with the same setup, drivers, etc, doesn't have the issue.

Collected the DARTS logs, unfortunately can't share them due to company policy.

However, could you guide me where to look in the logs perhaps please?

I checked EventViewer errors from the logs, I don't see anything relating to the network card.

Got also text logs from each module, but not sure in which one I should check and what to look for specifically.

This is what is disabled when network cable is pulled out:

PS: Don't have permanant access to the machine, so I'll have to do a list of all possible solutions at once, can't go back and forth several times unfortunately.

Many thanks in advance for any input/help!

Regards,

Found something maybe in the Network Access Manager event log that could be related to the adapter:

avr. 03 2023 14:00:12.388 +0200: %NAMUI-3-ERROR_MSG: %[tid=18552]: NAM API (AdapterList): Unexpected multiple mediaTypes in one linkStateNotification

Could it be that?

Found this related report:

Cisco Bug: CSCtq06862 - Crash 32bit in acnamagent.exe: c0000005 in acnamauth.dll

Some more errors from the NAM:
