Hello,
I removed Cisco AnyConnect VPN client since I no longer needed it on my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium). Unfortunately, it did not remove itself entirely. It left data in AppData and it also left Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.evtx (event log file) in C:\Windows\System32\winevt\logs\.
So whenever I view the Event Log on the machine, I see "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client" listed under "Applications and Services Logs" even though the application is no longer installed. Additionally, I am unable to remove the evtx file because Windows claims the file is open in "Windows Audio" (???).
I tried tons of searches on the Internet trying to figure out how to purge the evtx file, but have not turned up anything yet that works. Any ideas?
