Hi all, when using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client my hostname is pre-populated (with the hostname) in the "connect to:" space but when I click select it says "Invalid host entry. please re-enter" My ASA can resolve my hostname no issues..The laptop that has the AnyConnect client can also resolve the hostname (to the correct IP) I've un-installed many times to no avail..The laptop installed the AnyConnect client without issue by going to the url of the host name (So I know DNS is working) I'm using the "AnyConnect Start Before Logon" feature if that makes any difference..Any suggestions?
Cheers
Phil

Forgot to mention, if I put the IP address it works without issue..So seems like a DNS issue but the client can resolve without issue?

Have you checked the xml profile file associated with that VPN for a potential host entry there?
On Windows 7 they are stored (by default) in the following hidden folder:
C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile

I'm using ver 2.5 of the AnyConnect VPN client and on XP Pro..My AnyConnectprofile.xml file has the correct HostName entry (resolvable to correct IP)..I even changed the image in the Cisco to ver 3.1 (AnyConnect Secure Mobile VPN) but I still got the Invalid host entry..As soon as I put the IP all is good..Just doesnt make sense..

Is it possible for you to upload your profile.
Thanks
