Cisco_ipsec module for linux 2.6?

I installed vpnclient and the vpnclient_init script results in:

Starting /usr/local/bin/vpnclient: insmod: error inserting'/lib/modules/2.6.7/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec': -1 Invalid module format

The version of vpnclient 4.0.3B. Does anyone have any experience with this client in linux 2.6?

I don't think the vpn client will work on linux 2.6.x until version 4.06.
