Hello Experts,
I have a very simple setup. I have a Cisco 1841 Router with 3 interfaces. (1eth For the local network, 1 eth for ISP1 and 1eth for ISP2).
I manage to create VPN tunnel backup using Route maps.
I now have to create a VPN Failover with a separate router. What is the best approach for this? Any Config examples would be awesome.
This is my setup:
Local Network---Firewall-----------(Inside)Router(ISP1)=============VPN Tunnel=========VPN-Endpoint1
|
|
|
(Inside)Router(ISP2)=============VPN Tunnel2========VPN-Endpoint2
So the trick would be to setup to 2 VPN sites on 2 different routers.
Thank you,
Randall

Hi randall,
Simple. Set up HSRP between the 2 routers and create the same config on the 2nd router as well. Since the tunnel establishes only when there is interesteing traffic Always one router will be preferred. Just connect both the Routers to a switch and the inside interface in the same subnet.
