Cisco Secure Client Android app was updated on 16th of February from 5.0.00247 to 5.0.01251. Since then our MDM app on the phone is unable to apply the VPN profile configuration to updated Cisco Secure Client app.
MDM of our choice is VMware Workspace ONE and we are using Samsung smartphones with Android Legacy enrollment mode. The app is able to successfully push the configuration to 5.0.00247 version of the app but VPN configuration fails to apply if Cisco Secure client is updated to 5.0.01251 version beforehand. When I update the Cisco Secure Client to the newest version and try to reapply the VPN configuration profile, Hub MDM app is writing the following error message to the logs:
This application does not have permission to bind to com.cisco.anyconnect.vpn.android.service.IVpnService
Has anyone else experienced similar issues and if so, how did you resolve the problem?
