I have configured my Cisco VPN client behind a Symantec Gateway Security to connect to a Cisco PIX 515E. The VPN client is able to login to the PIX but I cannot access to any of the applications.

Kindly advise what I should do.

Thank you

hi

can u check up whether you have permitted esp and isakmp protocols in ur SGS which is very much required for to have IPSEC connection established and to have proper data transfer ?

Find the port and other details reqd to be opened in ur SGS

IKE uses UDP port 500.

IPSec ESP and AH protocols use protocol numbers 50 and 51.

regds

udp 4500 may also be required.

Hi,

I have permitted the following port in the SGS

50

51

4500

500

But I still could not access my applications.

Kindly advise what could be the problem

Thank you

we need to identify whether the issue is with the pix or the sgs.

to identify, try connect vpn using the same pc via a dialup connection. if you can access the app, then the issue is with the sgs and vice versa.
