I loaded the Cisco vpn client/dialer on a Doctors laptop. He as windows xp with service pack 2. The vpn dialer will not connect at all. I have installed this on many other machines and it works fine. Even when I dissable his firewall or check the UDP port 62515 it still will not connect. Does anyone have any idea why?

What version of the vpn client are you using?
How is the client configured to connect to the remote gateway? NAT-T, either over tcp or udp?
One item of interest is to enable logging and set the logging level for IKE to 3 and see what debug messages on the client are generated.
Let me know what you find.

Also when you say you disabled the firewall, which one?. The generic XP SP2 one or a second client side one, a hardware one?. The generic firewall running under another like zonelabs will sneak up on you every time.

Not sure about your particular problem, but I came across this discussion while looking into another VPN problem this morning. Hope it helps...
