Connect on Demand with AnyConnect - Apple iOS

Hi All,

We are embarking on introducing a service where our users can access a restricted number of network resoruces from an iPad. To achieve this we are using our Cisco VPN connection but extending its use to iOS devices through the Cisco Any Connect client for iOS.

We are trying to use the Connect on Demand feature of iOS so that when our users select a web clip for our intranet site it will prompt the VPN to connect if they aren't already. We have enabled this but we are not seeing this behaviour. Safari recognises that it requries a VPN connection for the url (as seen in the attached file) but doesn't launch the VPN client.

Has anyone used this feature and enabled it to exhibit the behaviour we are after?

Hi James,

are you using certificate authentication?

This feature does not work if the user needs to enter username/password...
