Hi there,
i have here some old 3640, that was running before with an old isdn multiplexer for a dialin solution.
Due to that only a few users use this dialin, the expensive isdn multiplexer is no longer needed and now a 4 Port BRI Card is inside.
The problem is actually, that the isdn dialin works but not the dialin for analog users (via the digital modems)

Really old stuff but it should still work.
Is the modem module still in slot 3?
Lines configured like below?
line 97-114
! --- This must match the group-range in the Group-Async Interface
! --- Use the show line command to determine which lines are to be configured for dialin
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
modem Dialin
Please check the rest of the prerequisites listed in the link:

Leo

Hi Leo,
the lines are matching with the lines specified in the Async intfce. as you can see below.
line 97 114
script modem-off-hook offhook
script callback callback
modem autoconfigure type mica
exec-character-bits 8
special-character-bits 8
transport preferred none
no ip tcp input-coalesce-threshold
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
hold-character 0
i added in the actual config the "modem dialin" command to the lines 97 114.
Let's see if this helps.
Cheers

Hi,
I have the same problem - how did you resolve that issue?

Hi,
the problem was never solved.
The BRI was not able to speak with the digital modem card/module, maybe there was some problem with the eeprom software version on the BRI.
