Hello All
I am trying to setup a SSL VPN Client Profile so I can set an alternate VPN server
I name it then browse the flash for the profile package. After hitting OK I receive a status window stating that the ASDM is validating the XML profile then I receive : Error in reading the XML from the device for validation.
Has anyone run into this? Where should I start?
Thanks in advance
Jay

Jay,
Profile needs to be valid XML ... are you sure that the file you're specifying is a valid XML?
If you need a quick validation of profile - open it with firefox :-)

I did not realize I was supposed to be picking a XML file. I thought I was just naming a profile and selecting the AnyConnect package it should be using.
I was working from these instructions:

Jay,
I'm no expert on ASDM, but I guess what you were trying to do maps to this command:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/s8.html#wp1519096
as opposed to;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/s8.html#wp1515211
But as I said, I don't usually work with ASDM except for the parts one needs to do (like customization, DAP, profile edition + I found wizards actually useful in some cases, I think the development has done an awesome job to make it very user friendly).

Thanks for the help. The first link is pretty much what I am trying to do. I had thought I was to select the AnyConnect package rather than a XML file.
My question now is: Where is this XML file? Or: How do I create it?
Thanks again
Jay

Jay,
First of all I would advise to use latest Anyconnect and ASDM packages.
The configuration guide is located here:
It contains some info on how to navigate through adding XML profile.
