Getting a DNS Server address assigned via DSL/PPPoE

Hi,

I am looking for a feature, which most of the "cheap"-DSL routers and Windows are able since a long time: Get the DNS servers address assigned by the ISP via PPP.

I have to make this work with a 836 rouer.

For now I just used DNS servers statically configured at the router by the "ip name-server ..." command.

After that I want to point my LAN clients to the router itself by using the DNS spoofing feature (ip dns spoofing).

Any ideas?

Markus

Found it by my own:

12.4 is needed and this does the trick:

ip dns server

ip dns spoofing

At the ppp interface:

ppp ipcp dns request
