Have a request to create a vpn path...

Hell-o,

New to VPN and IPsec. We have an outside agency that wants to create a VPN connection to one of our workstations. We are using a PIX515 firewall with 6.2 (1).

Can I just simply create a conduit command for this? And if so what would that be?

Do I need to go out and get another higher level encrption key?

Any advise or thoughts here are greatly welcome.\

You can build up a PIX to PIX (router , concentrator ) LAN to LAN IPSEC tunnel.

56 bit encryption key for the PIX is free, can generate in CCO. 3DES key need to talk to Cisco sales and buy it.

It depends on you and your outside agency to decide to use 56 bit or 3DES encrytion.
