Help with VPN Setup

Hi I am new to Cisco and would appreciate some help with a VPN setup request. I have to create a link with the following parameters.

Type IPSEC

Session Key Setup 24 Hours -

Authentication SHA1 

Encryption 3DES 

Key-Exchange operation Security DH-1024                  

Tunnel Transformation 1 Hour

AH-Authentication None

ESP-Encryption 3DES

ESP-Authentication SHA1

PfS None

Preshared Secret mrspuggles

Local network 40.40.40.40 (just for this eg.)

Remote network 50.50.50.50 (just for this eg.)

Hi,

Check the below link (or google) with configuration examples for Lan to Lan VPN tunnel..

Couple of points:

1. based on tunnel terminating devices (ASA, router, other vendor) the configuration commands changes.

2. If you have ASAs on both ends, the syntax will be different for pre8.3 versions.

is there any other site to site tunnel already active on this router.

if VPN site to site tunnels are alerady active then configuration command will be less because you will have alrady the tansfrom set and cry policy alredy configured.
