Hi guys,
I'm before i was using static IPs at both ends on CISCO RV042 router for clients mutual connectivity using VPN and it was working ver fine. But now have removed static IPs and now we are using dymaic IP addresses at both ends. Now my question is how to create Gateway to Gateway VPN using Dynamic DNS, i have two different registered Dynamic DNS at this time.
I have tried every possible setting for VPN but unable to create.
please anyone help me in making settings for VPN using Dynamic DNS at both ends at CISCO RV042.

In my experience when setting up a site to site vpn at least one of the peers has needed a static IP address. It certainly works for one of the peers to have a dynamic address. But if both peers have dynamic addresses then how does either one know where to send the ISAKMP request to initiate the vpn? I do not believe that it works for vpn when both peers are using dynamic address.

but we have two separate registered Dynamic DNS for this purpose, which can automatically update public IP addresses for both ends.

First let me say that I have not done this with RV042. I have done it with IOS routers and with ASA. I assume it should work ok with RV042 but have not actually done that myself. What you need to do is that on the router which has a dynamic address you use a regular crypto map which has the set peer statement pointing to the router which has the static address. On the router which has the static address you configure a dynamic map which will accept the request to establish a vpn without knowing the address of the peer.
