Importing a rsa key messes up my passwords

Hi,

I'm trying to import a RSA key from another router, so that they can both generate keys for other routers (as if they were the same CA). I want to do this so that if I lose the first CA, I can still use the second CA, and all the issued keys will still be valid.

I've tried to import the first CA's key to the second router, and when I do that, it messes up my encrypted passwords (I deleted the old keys first). Can you please tell me how I should go about importing keys without affecting my passwords?

The Exporting and Importing RSA Keys feature allows you to transfer security credentials between devices by exporting and importing Rivest, Shamir, and Adelman (RSA) keys. The keypair that is shared between two devices will allow one device to immediately and transparently take over the functionality of the other router.
