The documentation I have found for this is confusing, and seems overly complicated for something that I would think would come standard as part of the software installation. Cisco is a worldwide company.
I can not find the AnyConnect.po file it is suggesting on a machine that has the client installed, the :\Program Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\l10n\ directory is empty.
Second, I am supposed to edit the .po file with custom messages? Am I really the first person to want the client GUI to display the prompts in Spanish? I don't want custom messages, I want the default Cisco messages, but in Spanish.

The ,po files can be downloaded as a zip archive under the AC 4 download page.
https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281283&flowid=72322&softwareid=282364313&release=4.2.03013&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
Expand the tree on the left to see the translations resource:

It has a series of standard translations for all the AC messages - a file for each of 15 languages, including Spanish. For example:
msgid "The VPN connection was terminated due to a loss of communication with the secure gateway. A new connection is necessary, which requires re-authentication."
msgstr "La conexión VPN se ha finalizado debido a que se perdió la comunicación con el gateway seguro. Se precisa una nueva conexión, la cual se debe volver a autenticar."
...and so forth for over 2500 possible messages.
A bit further down in the document you linked is a section titled "Importing Available Translation Tables to the ASA". Follow that procedure to import the Spanish translation table. You only need to further customize it if the included translations aren't suitable for your use.

Marvin,
As stated I am using 3.1 will these transforms work with the 3.1 versions? There is no such file in the 3.x software directory.

Just FYI, It does appear that the 4.x translations work for the 3.1.x software also. I wonder why they don't list it in both locations.
Thanks much for the help!

You're welcome. Thanks for the rating.
Sorry I didn't have the definitive answer on 3.x client accepting 4.x translation file. I thought it was interchangeable but wasn't positive.
