IPSec tunnel backup root

Hi all,

I have a customer who has IPSec tunnels running between the HQ and 5

branches. The primary connection is Frame-Relay and they want to back

it up by ISDN BRI.

At the HQ the ISPsec gateway is PIX, while the branches run 2610 routers.

So I'm thinking of placing a router in front of the PIX and implement GRE tunnels with dial-watch and routing to bring up the ISDN line in case of failure, and pass IPSec traffic through GRE.

the following will sketch what I'm trying to achieve.

I have to run IPSec in transport mode.

My question is, will this scenario work with PIX? Or should I go for

another solution
