IPSec VPN connection keeps dropping

hi all,

I try to establish a connection between ASA5510 and PIX using IPSec. I am sure every parameter matches on both sides. The connetion can be established for 3-5 seconds, then drops. I tried more than 10 times, always like this. Any suggestions and solutions? Thanks a lot!

Can you force a ISAKMP keepalive either side

crypto isakmp keepalive 10

I did not try that. But it seems that this might not help because I can ping my remote site during the 3-5 seconds before the connection drops.

Well it is worth a try i would say. Do u see any logs when the connection disconnects. Does the IPSec break down ?
