Hi,
We are trying to extend a IPv6 network to a second location using a regular IPsec L2L tunnel (IP v4). The tunnel establishes just fine but it's only functional in one way, e.g. we can ping a IPv6 server on site B from site A (which is the site where the actual IPv6 connection to the internet is). But not vice versa.
I get the error "Failed to locate egress interface for IPv6-ICMP from inside:xxxx:xxxx:x:xx::abcd/1 to xxxx:xxxx:x::c/0" when trying to ping from Site B
So I'm guessing it's because I lack a IPv6 default route, which brings me to my question, what should it be? I've tried adding the IPv4 adress of the Site A ASA, but it won't accept a IPv4 adress.
And if it is a routing issue, why does it work to ping from Site A to Site B?
The devices used are two ASA 5505.
Best regards,
Charlie
