ISDN TEI Assigned - recovery?

After a call I get

*Jun 1 11:15:46.849: ISDN BR0/0/0 Q921: User RX <- DISCp sapi=0 tei=80

*Jun 1 11:15:46.849: %ISDN-6-LAYER2DOWN: Layer 2 for Interface BR0/0/0, TEI 80 changed to down

*Jun 1 11:15:46.849: ISDN BR0/0/0 Q921: User TX -> UAf sapi=0 tei=80

*Jun 1 11:15:46.849: ISDN BR0/0/0 Q931: Ux_DLRelInd: DL_REL_IND received from L2

in the debug ISDN Q921, which appears to be why it then drops to TEI_ASSIGNED, ut the interface does not automatically recover to MFE.

The exchange we are having this fun with is is an AXE10 "System Y" exchange (Ericsson)

Is there anything we can do to automate recovery, or could there be a bug? I note CSCsb10564 but it is lacking in detail. Hardware is 1841 and IOS is 12.4(1c) (C1841-BROADBAND-M)

Hello Paul,

you might want to try and configure:

isdn tei-negotiation remove

on your interface, and see if that makes a difference...

Hi Paul,

I have seen a similar problem with this IOS - the "fix" was to downgrade to 12.3(14)T4.

Cheers
