I use the native Mac client for several Cisco IPSec VPN connections without problem. I am setting up a new one and am experiencing something odd. When I try to connect, I first get a dialog box that says "VPN Connection / Enter your user authentication". Only Cancel and OK buttons are on the dialog. There is no place to enter my credentials. I click OK and eventually get "The negotiation with the VPN server failed. Verify the server address and try reconnecting". I entered my credentials on the System Pref screen but it doesn't matter. Same thing. Any ideas why it's failing?
If I use the Windows client and PCF file it works in a Fusion session. It's configured for Transparent Tunneling IPSec over UDP / PAT. Is this where the problem lies - is it not supported on Mac?
