MacOS 10.13.2 beta 1, AnyConnect 4.4.03034, Unable to contact <vpn> No network connectivity

This is a very unsupported environment question since Mac OS 10.13.2 came out in the last day or two and of course is entirely unsupported but no harm in asking or indeed informing others ;-)

I am using AnyConnect 4.4.03034 - I can't change this as I am only an end user ;-)

Whilst at 10.13.1 the vpn works fine, after the update it seems I just see in the GUI
 * Unable to contact <MY VPN NAME>
 * No network connectivity underneath

This happens with multiple profiles I have, whilst an alternate VPN I have access to, does work ok

From looking at system.log the best I can ascertain is that there may be an issue getting interface information ie:

Nov  2 09:01:32 Nigels-MBP acvpnagent[55]: Function: getInterfacesInternal File: ../../vpn/Common/Utility/NetInterface_unix.cpp Line: 1754 Invoked Function:

 ioctl SIOCGIFNETMASK_IN6 Return Code: 1 (0x00000001) Description: unknown errno=Operation not permitted

.. and a few lines in relation to retrieving my profile followed by:

Nov  2 09:01:32 Nigels-MBP acvpnagent[55]: Function: getInterfacesInternal File: ../../vpn/Common/Utility/NetInterface_unix.cpp Line: 1754 Invoked Function: ioctl SIOCGIFNETMASK_IN6 Return Code: 1 (0x00000001) Description: unknown errno=Operation not permitted

Nov  2 09:01:32 Nigels-MBP acvpnagent[55]: Function: processConnectNotification File: ../../vpn/Agent/MainThread.cpp Line: 12277 Invoked Function: CMainThread::resolveSGHost Return Code: -32702438 (0xFE0D001A) Description: MAINTHREAD_ERROR_NO_NETWORK_CONNECTIVITY

Any tips for workarounds welcome. I presume perhaps a permission change? Or an outright MacOS bug in the beta.

Still failing. will see if next beta addresses. Any thoughts on workarounds?

I've updated to 4.5.02036 and it gets past authentication, but then errors out in regards to the driver:

"The VPN client driver encountered an error.  Please restart your computer or device, then try again.

AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway. Please try connecting again."

Running MacOS 10.13.2 Beta (17C60c)

Updated to MacOS 10.13.2 Beta 2 (17C67b). Uninstalled and re-installed Anyconnect. Error persists.

This is an OS defect in macOS 10.13.2 beta. Apple is tracking this under Radar # 35186937. They are actively working on a fix for this issue for an upcoming beta seed.

Update: MacOs 10.13.2 beta 2 (latest, at 11/7), AnyConnect 4.5.02036 (latest version also) has still the same issue.

Waiting on Apple to fix the issue. Still no update on Radar # 35186937.

For info, my feedback report number is 3819295
- and yes, see same. not fixed in beta 2

My bug report # at Apple: 35392570

confirmed.  same symptoms on 10.13.2 beta 2 .....

when connected via wifi ... anyconnect show a msg "No network connectivity" and will not even try to connect.

when connected via LAN ... anyconnect will try to connect but is not able to finish establishing the vpn connection.

I am seeing the exact same problems on the latest version of AnyConnect and 10.13.2 Beta 2

Also reported under #3845871 with detailed logs.

I just updated my mac to the official 10.13.2 (not beta) and still can't connect. Does anyone know if/when this will be fixed or if there is a work around yet?

I have upgraded to 10.13.2 as well.  AnyConnect 4.4.0.03034 is working fine for me.

Please contact us at ac-mobile-feedback@cisco.com with your diagnostic report. The issue that was in 10.13.2 beta was corrected by Apple, so current AnyConnect should be functioning fine for you.
